Why do you only have 3 cases available right now?
Our original author, Mr. Ethan Leung, has written 203 mystery murder scripts. However, unlike traditional offline mystery experience stores, the cases on our website are reconstructed based on real police case files and evidence. We completely eliminate the use of scripted monologues, relying 100% on police and detective perspective documents and evidence to immerse players fully in the role of a detective, rather than just reading a mystery novel.
We began building this website and transforming our mystery scripts into detective game cases in early 2025. These three are our first batch of works, which took nearly five months to complete. More exciting cases will be released in the future, so stay tuned!
Why do the new cases take so long?
Each case undergoes extensive time and careful refinement by our team before it is released, ensuring both authenticity and quality. You can subscribe to our email list to receive instant notifications when new cases are released.
Why don't you have many reviews?
As a new website (launched in June 2025), we are actively collecting feedback from our customers to continuously improve both our products and services. To attract more new customers and expand our reach, we've decided to forgo profits in the early stages. The Shadow Above will be sold at cost price (with the majority of costs coming from advertising expenses), priced even lower than a typical meal at a restaurant. Our goal is to introduce ourselves to more people and turn them into loyal fans.
